Job Description Please note that this role will be on-site at our office in Burlington, Ontario (497 Elizabeth Street). Once settled into the role, the position will become four days in-office and one day remote. We are looking for a Pension Support Administrator to join our team in Burlington. The Pension Support Administrator provides administrative support and a go-to for all pension client member inquiries and especially, those terminating or retiring. The Pension Support Administrator will administratively support the pension team, specific to member inquires and pension withdrawals as well as work in concert with the lead team member with respect to pension members who are transactionally cashing-out pension accounts and other similar pension transactions not requiring licensing. As a Pension Support Administrator, you will: In concert with the pension consultant and key pension administrative member, support on pension plans by assisting plan administrators with day-to-day administration concerns and/or questions Gather relevant data from various sources and input in Excel spreadsheets Use data analytics tools (i.e. Excel) to analyze and process data and Review and validate report outputs for accuracy, completeness, and relevance Address and discrepancies or anomalies for formatting errors Oversee pension member information sessions and most notably, 1:1 session First-line intake of incoming phone calls and Field pension client member-related incoming correspondence and especially, phone calls (for example, pension projections, investment changes, beneficiary changes) Administer or transact pension member account cash-out and other similarly related administration which do not require licensing Correspond with pension members To be successful as a Pension Support Administrator, you will need: Strong administrative skills Exceptional attention to detail and an ability to stay organized is crucial to this role Experience in the pension/retirement industry (considered an asset) A demonstrated working knowledge of: Pension Plan Structures, Governance and Legislation (considered an asset) Very strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word & Power Point The ability to work well with a team and independently Outstanding listening and communication skills, including excellent and proficient written skills Strong interpersonal and professional skills when dealing with clients, office staff etc. What’s in it for you: Learn by working alongside our experts Extended health care and dental benefits A retirement savings plan with company contributions A suite of Health & Wellness offerings Mental Health programs and support for you and your family Assistance for the completion of industry designations Competitive compensation Watson Parojcic is a subsidiary of People Corporation.
