You as a Payroll Administrator will:

Assist in processing timesheets and producing pay cheques for a large number of employees on a weekly basis, including monthly union reports and remit payments for union benefits. Process wage increases per union schedules. Respond to Government inquiries in a professional manner and produce letters of employment. Support other accounting functions with regards to payroll and employee cost allocation, which may include general office duties as required.

You have two to three years of payroll administration experience in a unionized environment You have the ability to read and interpret multiple collective agreements and determine related payroll requirements, with working knowledge of payroll databases You have the ability to make quick decisions in a demanding environment, where your performance could have an impact on other employees
