This Volunteer Placement is Located in: Tegucigalpa, HondurasStart Date: March 2026Placement Length: 5 monthsLanguage Requirements: Spanish Level 4-Advanced and English Level 3-IntermediatePlease submit a Spanish Resume and Statement of InterestEligibility: Open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada onlyThe Volunteer’s Role As a volunteer, you will:Evaluate the current communications strategy to refine and update it, and create a social media plan that aligns with significant dates and weeks throughout the year.Oversee graphic design initiatives for the organization, including infographics, social media content, photographs, and covers for reports and publications.Administer the organization's website and social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.Organize monthly communications meetings with other teams to gain insights into their projects and highlight their work through social media, articles, photography, and design.Essential Requirements:A university degree and equivalent experience in communications, journalism, public relations, social marketing, media management, or a related field.Essential Background:Engagement in cyberactivism, emphasizing advocacy campaigns and championing women’s rightsOverseeing information and communication technologies (ICT), such as websites, blogs, social media, and video editingHandling communications related to press, radio, television, and photographyFostering public relationsCrafting reports, news articles, and press releasesWhat’s in it for YOU?
