Reporting to the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for various administrative functions relating to Group Retirement Plans including RRSP, RPP, DPSP, and Investment Only. You will work closely with Group Retirement Services Customer Service Specialists to assist them in their day-to-day caseload administration. You must become familiar with the Group Pension Administration System (GPAS) and various GRS processes.

What you will do:
  • Handling member and member plan maintenance on GPAS
  • Timely processing and distribution of incoming mail for GRS department
  • Mail preparation responsibilities including opening, photocopying, date stamping, and scanning paperwork for the GRS CSS’s working from home
  • Processing and sorting of withdrawal cheques for distribution
  • Cheque deposits
  • Clerical support for things such as creating member files and ad-hoc filing
  • Preparation of material to be mailed out to members and clients
  • Processing and distribution of various ad-hoc confirmation statements and letters
  • Preparation of forms as requested by members

  • Instills quality in day-to-day activities/processes
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills - team player a must
  • Ability to work comfortably with Microsoft products (i.e., Excel, Word)
  • Knowledge of investment/retirement arrangements and/or business processes within GRS would be an asset
  • Experience with the GPAS and system would be an asset
  • Reliability Status security clearance - this is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website

The base salary for this position is between $31,400.00 and $42,500.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e., annual bonus, commission, etc.).
