Collins Aerospace is looking for an onsite PC Support Technician based out of the YEG Airport in Edmonton International Airport. The PC Support Technician will assist in providing basic technical support for computers, servers, peripherals, and associated networks for the common-use systems, kiosks, flight information displays, and paging systems. This individual will be performing these duties in a face-to-face customer environment. The PC Support Technician will perform shift work in a 24x7x365 environment.

Midnight Shift - 0:00-08:00

Morning Shift - 08:00-16:00

Evening Shift - 16:00-0:00

What You will do:

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to resolve difficult customer situations while escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Work under limited supervision to aid in one or more disciplines within IT (e.g., business, and technical applications, IT infrastructure, security and compliance, desktop support, printers, etc.)
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly with PC, server, & printer hardware
  • Conduct basic documentation activities, including operation documents, contributions to team notes, user manuals, etc.
  • Install/replace hardware (computers, printers, laptops, etc.) and validate solution implementation is completed
  • Work with asset, spares, and consumables management
  • Perform quarterly preventative maintenance on workstations and peripherals.
  • Coordinate activities with internal/external technology owners/service providers
  • Must be able to maintain Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
  • Will, when needed, lift and/or move up to 50lbs and push/pull up to 150lbs

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the Canada without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • PC hardware background with excellent customer service skills.
  • ability to work independently and demonstrate a strong
  • Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience as a field technician role or comparable experience;
  • Knowledge and experience with Windows 7 and 10 platforms;
  • Experience with asset, spares, and consumables management;
  • Understand SLAs, severity levels, and industry best practices.
