Running Room IT - Network Support Technician
The Running Room seeks an enthusiastic, tech-minded individual to join our Help Desk team. As a member of our internal IT support team, you’ll be exposed to a wide scope of responsibilities and will have the opportunity to work with all aspects of the IT infrastructure, from end users and desktops up to core server, storage, and network equipment, and everything in between.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of LAN, WAN, computer workstations and peripheral equipment
- Configure, troubleshoot and administer site-to-site and Client Access VPN
- Configure, troubleshoot and administer Windows servers (Exchange, Print, File, Active directory)
- Security patching workstations and servers
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
- Account and group management in AD, Azure and O365
- SharePoint site management (create, delete and manage access permissions)
- Escalate issues to the appropriate teams/personnel while maintaining ownership.
- Perform local troubleshooting at our main office and remote support to our retail stores.
- Work in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change daily
- Utilize a knowledge base and documentation to find solutions to unique problems and develop and document new solutions
- Participate in afterhours rotation shift

**Required Skills**:

- Proficiency in Cisco/Fortinet, Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Ubiquiti technologies
- Knowledge and experience with Site to Site and Client Access VPN
- Knowledge and experience of Windows Server technologies such as Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows 2012, 2016 and above.
- Knowledge and experience of virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere and hyper-converged technologies
- Knowledge & experience of backup technologies, including tape and disk-to-disk, about the backup and restore of both physical and virtual servers
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting PC and Mac hardware
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to resolve a variety of technical issues
- Experience with remote user support and troubleshooting
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Ability to independently research and investigate issues and implement solutions in line with industry best practices
- Motivated self-starter who excels in tackling projects with mínimal supervision

**Education**:
A bachelor's degree, completion of a network administration or system admin diploma, degree or equivalent program, or experience will all be considered.
- CCNA/Network+ and Windows server administration Certification would be an asset
- A+ certification would be an asset

Experience in a help desk environment is a huge asset, but alternative experiences like network & server administration and PC repair are valuable.
