We are seeking a dynamic individual to join Vancouver Pile Driving, a key business unit within the Carlson Group, as our Vice President of Operations. Embrace our company values and contribute to the growth of our employees and the overall success of the business.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Development: Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the business unit strategy.Project Oversight: Oversee a portfolio of construction projects, ensuring alignment with the business unit strategy.Compliance: Ensure project compliance with safety and regulatory policies to meet strategic goals.Leadership: Lead, motivate, and support project management teams, reporting progress monthly to the General Manager.Budget Management: Assist in the development of budgets throughout the project lifecycle.Financial Improvement: Review and improve project financials and risk management, providing monthly project status reports.Problem Solving: Analyze and address problematic business issues with effective leadership.Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement by analyzing non-problematic business issues.Business Development: Assist with business development and report progress monthly.Sustainability: Develop business opportunities for the long-term sustainability of a portfolio and support other divisions within the business unit and the Carlson Group.Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with key partners, clients, and regulatory bodies.Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry operations, trends, competitors, and drivers to inform company strategy.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field.
