About the CompanyOur client, a well-established law firm located in downtown Toronto, is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant to join their team.ResponsibilitiesPrepare, draft, and revise legal documents, including agreements of purchase and sale, leases, and closing documents.Assist lawyers with all aspects of real estate transactions, including due diligence, title searches, and closings.Open, maintain, and close client files in accordance with firm procedures.Communicate with clients, realtors, lenders, municipal offices, and title insurance companies.Monitor and manage critical dates and transaction timelines.Coordinate document registration and filings with Teraview and other online systems.Manage trust accounts and handle billing, time entry, and docketing.Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems.Requirements4+ years of experience as a legal assistant in Commercial Real Estate law, preferably in a law firm setting.Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma/certificate from a recognized institution.Strong knowledge of Teraview, title search procedures, and real estate closing processes.Proficiency in MS Office and legal practice management software.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.Professional, client-focused attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.CompensationCompetitive salary up to $75,000, commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits and professional development support.A collaborative and collegial work environment with opportunities for growth and advancement.
