**Regional Sales Manager**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team at DMC Recruitment. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue in the western region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Strategic Sales Objectives: Collaborate with the national sales manager to develop and execute strategic sales objectives for the western region, aligning with the company's overall North American strategy.
  • Support North American Sales Programs: Develop and implement individual sales goals and local market strategies for each province and territory, ensuring alignment with the company's sales philosophy and process.
  • Direct Sales Execution: Lead sales teams to execute the company's sales philosophy and process, ensuring a high standard of relationship selling and growth in core segments.
  • Sales Culture Development: Create and maintain a sales culture focused on delivering results, providing ongoing coaching, mentoring, and development of technical sales advisors.
  • Business Development: Identify business potential and ensure its development in existing and/or new markets to achieve sales targets and market share.
  • Accountability and Communication: Encourage accountability among sales teams through regular meetings, including weekly team huddles, monthly CRM project meetings, quarterly target development meetings, and yearly performance reviews.
  • Market Intelligence: Deliver regular communication to the national sales manager regarding feedback from the field on products, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Customer Engagement: Meet with larger target accounts to discuss customer needs, assess the quality of our relationship, and develop ways to support the Forbo value proposition.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or related discipline, or 5+ years of related business development experience in the construction industry and 2+ years of sales management experience.
  • Project Management: Proficient in managing larger projects with longer sales cycles, in both private and public sectors.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical documents, and construction drawings and documents.
  • Industry Knowledge: Essential to have a working knowledge of the construction industry, players, and processes in Western Canada.
  • Location and Travel: Preference to be based in Vancouver/Calgary, but open to other Western Canadian cities based on strength of candidate profile. Must be able to travel the entire western territory on a continual basis.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management and team members in a fast-paced environment, while efficiently and effectively managing a diversified workload and challenging situations.
  • Customer Focus: Must thrive on building lasting customer relationships that develop into sales and growth in the territory.
  • Team Player: Be an active, engaged team player with an entrepreneurial spirit, resulting in positive contribution to the national sales results.
