Director of Cardiac Imaging

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Director of the Canadian National PET Centre at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team of physicians, imaging scientists, nurses, and technologists to ensure ongoing excellence and growth in high-quality imaging for patient care and cutting-edge research initiatives.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of experts in cardiology and imaging to deliver high-quality patient care and conduct innovative research
- Develop and implement strategies to advance the field of cardiac imaging and nuclear cardiology
- Collaborate with researchers and clinicians to translate research findings into clinical practice standards
- Secure funding for research initiatives and manage grants
- Recruit and mentor junior faculty members and trainees
- FRCPC certification in Cardiology (or equivalent)
- Level 3 fellowship training in Nuclear Cardiology
- Member of, or eligible to be a member of, the Canadian Medical Protective Association
- Eligible to practice medicine in Ontario
