Director of the Canadian National PET Centre

The Ottawa Department of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead the Canadian National PET Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the centre's clinical care, training, and research initiatives.
The centre is equipped with state-of-the-art PET cameras, an on-site cyclotron, and a fully equipped radiochemistry laboratory. The Director will lead a multidisciplinary team of physicians, imaging scientists, nurses, and technologists to ensure ongoing excellence and growth in high-quality imaging for patient care and cutting-edge research initiatives.
The ideal candidate must hold FRCPC certification in Cardiology (or equivalent), have Level 3 fellowship training in Nuclear Cardiology, and be a member of, or eligible to be a member of, the Canadian Medical Protective Association. The candidate should also be eligible to practice medicine in Ontario.
The University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital are bilingual institutions, and a bilingual (French/English) candidate would be preferred.
The Director will be responsible for negotiating a practice profile based on expected academic and clinical deliverables. The income for this position is derived from a variety of sources, including clinical billings, salary support, and honorariums/stipends.
