Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide office management, technical, and administrative services to support the work of the Maine and Aquaculture Divisions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Tracking correspondence, memos, and documentation
  • Responding to incoming calls, emails, and inquiries
  • Coordinating calendars, meetings, and agendas, and maintaining filing records and retrieval systems
  • Assisting with monitoring budget-related documents
  • Performing routine day-to-day operational tasks, including tracking and ordering supplies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A 1-year secretarial/business administration diploma or equivalent experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and judgmental skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, community members, and government staff
  • Experience with general filing, records management, and database management
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and prioritize work demands
What We Offer

This is a TERM employment opportunity with a salary range of $66,594 - $93,859 bi-weekly. The appointment status is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.
