Clinical Nutrition Professional

The successful candidate will provide competent, safe and ethical professional practice to patients, families and communities. This position advises on diet and food and nutrition across all health sectors, leading team efforts to support nutritional health through health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, support and rehabilitation. The registered dietitian will participate in the Integrated Dietetic Internship program, including preceptoring dietetic interns.
This role contributes to client care through collaboration with healthcare team providers, sharing nutrition expertise, ensuring quality and continuity of care, and supporting a range of healthcare services. These services are provided within a holistic, client-centered framework in accordance with our mission, vision, values, and strategic direction.
About YouWe are seeking a qualified candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition, a Dietetic Internship Program, and current registration with the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association. A minimum of one year of experience as a dietitian is preferred. The ideal candidate will have inpatient clinical nutrition experience, competency in dysphagia management, enteral and parenteral nutrition, and the ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

HoursThis is a permanent part-time position with 60 hours biweekly. Hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range is $32.94 - $43.43 hourly. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
