Job Title: Customer Logistics Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Logistics Manager to join our team at EightSix Network. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for developing and managing KPIs that speak to service, missed opportunities, growth, and profitability.

Responsibilities:

1. Key Elements:

Develop and manage KPIs that speak to service, missed opportunities, growth, and profitability.

Implement operational process improvements.

Execute and provide updates on key projects and objectives.

Second point of escalation for customers, carriers, and staff.

Lead the following initiatives: hiring, staff recognition, annual reviews, addressing disciplinary issues up to and including terminations.

Organize and take part in professional development opportunities.

Ensure supervisory staff are educating, training, and managing front-line operational staff.

2. Developing Capacity:

Build carrier base and pipeline in relation to business needs and opportunities.

Analyze carrier needs and develop a system that allows the logistics team to capitalize on such knowledge.

Diversify with other modes.

3. Staff Management:

Conduct performance appraisals and review pay adjustments. Provide measurable feedback to assigned personnel and suggestions for improved performance. Formulate and implement employee corrective actions as needed.

Manage and delegate tasks based on roles, responsibilities, and workload.

Develop and train staff so that day-to-day logistics are executed as per SOP (service, compliance, administration, etc).

Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recommending hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition, and rewards, staff productivity, and performance management.

Responsible for scheduling vacations and time off per policy with the least amount of disruption to the department to meet customer needs.

Initiate positive methods of driving team-mate excellence through follow-up, providing consistent and fair feedback on performance. Take action through coaching and counseling to correct behaviors.

Communicate and involve staff in results of business analysis and opportunities for improvement as well as opportunities for growth.

Align staff objectives with Company objectives. Utilize management/communication tools such as job profiles and performance evaluations.
