About the Opportunity:

Sovereign Insurance, a wholly owned subsidiary of Co-operators General Insurance company, is seeking a visionary leader to join its dynamic senior leadership team. As an Associate Vice President (AVP) of Commercial Solutions, you will inspire and lead teams in the Canadian Western Regions to drive success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business plans and budgets, monitoring and analyzing results to ensure plan achievement.
  • Lead and deliver broker-focused products and services, including training regional staff on company products and services.
  • Manage broker relationships to achieve volume objectives while maintaining a profitable book of business.
  • Understand regulatory risk and influence compliant business processes and controls.
  • Lead and engage your team to deliver strategic objectives through effective coaching and mentoring.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive insurance industry experience, including in-depth experience in the Commercial Mid-Market space.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • CIP designation an asset.
  • Proven track record as a successful commercial insurance leader with expertise in Manufacturing, Construction, Transportation, and Energy segment commercial lines within the broker distribution channel.
  • Experience leading teams to build a strong broker distribution portfolio.
  • Ability to build strategic plans and lead teams to solve complex problems and achieve delivery targets in an engaged, collaborative environment.
