Job Summary

Silver Chopsticks Restaurant is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Ensure Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and prepare and submit reports as required.

Supervise Delivery of Food Trolleys

Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys, ensuring that all food is delivered to the correct location and that all customers receive their orders in a timely manner.

Establish Work Schedules

Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that all shifts are covered and that staff have adequate time to complete their tasks.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Work Setting

Restaurant environment.

Physical Capabilities

Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain attention to detail.

Personal Suitability

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
