Job Summary

Solenis is a leading global producer of specialty chemicals, delivering sustainable solutions for water-intensive industries. We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing site in London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plant Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Represent the company to regulatory officials, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Community Relations: Act as liaison with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, as well as community organizations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process optimization, EH&S performance, cost reduction, people development, budgeting, and capital programs.
Additional Responsibilities
  • EH&S Programs: Manage the implementation and maintenance of all EH&S programs and certification compliance.
  • Manufacturing Processes: Maintain manufacturing processes, packaging, raw material, and finished product inventory within set guidelines.
  • Capital Budgeting: Develop and implement plant manufacturing expense and capital budgets.
  • Process Technology: Implement new process technology at the site.
  • Quality Programs: Implement Quality programs, including ISO registration, maintenance, and improvement plans.
  • People Development: Manage the implementation of annual objective setting and performance appraisal process, people development, and training.
  • Manufacturing Strategic Plan: Support the development of a manufacturing strategic plan to support commercial growth plans.
  • Site Assets: Maintain site assets and optimize equipment life cycle.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and standardization at the site in areas of safety, productivity, cost reduction, employee satisfaction, quality, etc.
Requirements
  • Education: BS Technical Degree (Engineering preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience in a chemical operation
  • Skills: Strong communication, leadership, people development, and decision-making skills
  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in Canada
