About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Pentagon Construction & Building Maintenance Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to construction, renovation, and maintenance of residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • 40 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be willing to travel and work in various locations.
