We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at A TO Z FINISHING & CARPENTRY LTD. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of carpentry.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-construction planning: Collaborate with our project managers to develop detailed plans and specifications for carpentry work.
- Carpentry execution: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create high-quality carpentry products.
- Installation and finishing: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless finish.
- Quality control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that all carpentry work meets our high standards.
- Team leadership: Supervise and mentor junior carpenters to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Cost estimation and management: Accurately estimate costs and materials required for projects, and manage these resources effectively to ensure timely completion.
- Maintenance and repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial properties, including wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Work setting: Various locations, including residential and commercial properties.
- Physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, with a large workload and physically demanding tasks.
- Work conditions: Tight deadlines and a fast-paced work environment.
- Personal suitability: Accurate, client-focused, reliable, team player, with a strong work ethic and ability to work well under pressure.
