Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide clinical professional practice both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You will be responsible for providing prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management. You will participate in the planning, coordination, and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients/clients, families, healthcare professionals, and other partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical professional practice, including prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management.
  • Participate in the planning, coordination, and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients/clients, families, healthcare professionals, and other partners.
  • Supervise students and provide clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate.
  • Use clinical expertise to inform ongoing quality improvement, service integration, and program development.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification.
  • Recent adult inpatient acute care experience within Alberta.
  • Independence and proficiency with clinical and instrumental (VFSS) swallowing assessments, with demonstrated ability to manage challenging caseload demands within a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort discussing risks and benefits of oral vs non-oral feeding with care team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with complex medical patient populations (end of life, chronic disease management, post-ICU, dementia).
  • Instrumental assessment (VFSS) competence.
