Pediatric Speech Therapist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Elves Special Needs Society. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in supporting children and youth with speech and language delays or severe cognitive, physical, or social impairments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess children and youth for purposes of diagnosis and treatment.
  • Prepare documents, including assessments, individual program plans, and multidisciplinary reports.
  • Offer evidence-based intervention and oversight of Speech and Language Pathology Assistants.
  • Collaborate with classroom staff to develop and monitor individualized communication programs.
  • Provide training and resources on assistive technology and communication strategies.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Registration with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
  • Experience working with children and youth with severe disabilities and augmentative communication systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
