Your Opportunity:

Description:

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide clinical professional practice, including prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management. You will participate in the planning, coordination, and delivery of rehabilitation services, working collaboratively with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and other partners. Your leadership and interpersonal skills will enable you to supervise students and provide clinical guidance to other staff as needed.

Required Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required, along with active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA). Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification is also required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent adult inpatient acute care experience within Alberta is necessary, as well as independence and proficiency in clinical and instrumental swallowing assessments. You must be able to manage challenging caseload demands within a fast-paced environment and be comfortable discussing risks and benefits of oral vs non-oral feeding with the care team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with complex medical patient populations, such as end-of-life care, chronic disease management, post-ICU care, and dementia, is an asset. Instrumental assessment competence is also preferred.
