As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be part of a collaborative team, providing prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management to patients/clients, families, healthcare professionals, and other partners.
Job Description:As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing clinical professional practice, both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You will participate in the planning, coordination, and delivery of rehabilitation services, using your clinical expertise to inform ongoing quality improvement, service integration, and program development.
Required Qualifications:- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification
- Recent adult inpatient acute care experience within Alberta
- Experience with complex medical patient populations (end of life, chronic disease management, post ICU, dementia)
- Instrumental assessment (VFSS) competence
