Job Summary

The Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide clinical professional practice both independently and as a part of a collaborative team, which may include external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management.
  • Participate in the planning, coordination and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients/clients, families, healthcare professionals and other partners.
  • Supervise students and provide clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate.
  • Inform ongoing quality improvement, service integration, and program development with your clinical expertise.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification.
  • Recent adult inpatient acute care experience within Alberta.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with complex medical patient populations (end of life, chronic disease management, post ICU, dementia).
  • Instrumental assessment (VFSS) competence.
