Senior Vice President, Investments & Client Service

Stonewood Group Inc. is seeking a seasoned investment professional to join our leadership team as Senior Vice President, Investments & Client Service. This role will play a critical part in solidifying our market-leading position by ensuring the best interests of our clients are paramount.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Investment Strategy – Oversee the firm's investment function, building on our current investment philosophy and asset allocation processes.
  2. Leadership – Chair the investment committee, lead investment activities, and provide thought leadership on all investment matters.
  3. Communication – Effectively communicate investment results, capital markets trends, and investment concepts to staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  4. Investment Manager Analysis and Selection – Conduct thorough assessments and due diligence on investment managers, making recommendations to the investment committee.
  5. New Investment Vehicles and Strategies – Identify opportunities to enhance our client offering through researching and developing new investment opportunities.

Client Relationship Management and Business Development – Collaborate with the client management team to deliver exceptional client service and act as an expert resource in investments. Lead select client relationships and business development initiatives.

Competency Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the wealth management industry, with a focus on family office or private family experience. They will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for clients and colleagues. Advanced knowledge of investment management principles, analytics, and portfolio management is essential.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Undergraduate degree and CFA designation are a minimum requirement.
  2. Strong knowledge of the wealth management industry, with family office or private family experience preferred.
  3. Superior communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with clients and colleagues.
  4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate and interpret data to make informed investment decisions.
  5. Experience with building investment strategies for private investors, including evaluating and selecting investment managers.
