Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Benefits Administrator to join our team at D2L. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administering global benefit plans and wellness initiatives, with a focus on ensuring compliance with legal standards and providing a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer day-to-day operations of global benefit plans, including health, retirement, disability, and other benefits, ensuring seamless enrollment, changes, and terminations processes.
  • Monitor employee feedback and address benefit-related queries, providing prompt and high-level service.
  • Process benefit deductions and monitor taxation impacts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Submit data and contributions to third-party providers, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring timely submissions.
  • Support the global leave intake process for various leave requests, including parental, personal, disability, and unpaid leaves.
  • Ensure the completion of year-end audits and compliance requirements, including 401k audits, ACA reporting, and US workers' comp audits.
  • Review and reconcile monthly benefit invoices for accuracy, ensuring timely submission to Finance.
  • Process salary updates as required for Canada and the US, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance.
  • Manage the Benefits mailbox, providing careful analysis and sound judgment to provide prompt and high-level service.
  • Manage the People & Culture team's Lego program, promoting team engagement and collaboration.
  • Serve as the primary backup for the Global Benefits & Wellness Manager, supporting benefit renewals and succession planning.
  • Drive and lead company-wide wellness communications, promoting wellness themes and initiatives, and participating as a lead for the Wellness Committee.
  • Manage the Wellness Reimbursement Program, ensuring accurate processing and compliance.
  • Assist with and manage the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EAP), providing support and resources to employees.
  • Assist with Pension Plan administration, ensuring accurate processing and compliance.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in benefits and wellness administration.
  • Extensive knowledge of US benefits experience, with a focus on global benefits administration.
  • Proven experience in benefits and wellness administration in a global context, with a strong understanding of benefits principles and practices in multiple countries.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with proficiency in using HRIS and benefits administration systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with relevant certifications (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus.
