About the Role


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our Civil & Infrastructure Operations team at Pomerleau Construction.


As a Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the successful management of stakeholder communications, ensuring resource availability, and overseeing various administrative tasks.


Key Responsibilities



  • Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and Project Team by providing assistance with coordination and project support;
  • Collaborate and keep the lines of communication open when working with team members, trade partners, consultants, and clients;
  • Take pride in your ability to effectively review, interpret, and update the construction schedules;
  • Utilize your passion for organization through maintenance, review, and follow-up of shop drawings, RFI's, material purchase orders, change notice quotes, and project completion documents;
  • Effectively collect, review, and analyze project quotes with emphasis on obtaining the very best prices in the market;
  • Take pride in compiling and completing company-wide project reports;
  • Assemble, attend, document, and emphasize the importance of project meetings;
  • Provide necessary support to our Quality department regarding project start-up documentation;
  • Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection on the project.
  • Effectively apply the requirements of the project-specific safety standards to promote Pomerleau's HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations, and codes with all employees and trade partners on the project;
  • Embrace the learning experience and be open to internal career opportunities;
  • Celebrate project success and completion and be a key member of the project wrap-up process.

Requirements



  • 3-5 years' experience in the civil and/or infrastructure construction industry;
  • A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience;
  • Previous experience working on a large-scale construction project – civil/infrastructure;
  • A proven track record of project coordination and team collaboration;
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and provide creative solutions to problems that present themselves;
  • Comfortable in working at a remote camp project in Squamish.
