As a Medical Laboratory Technologist II, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality laboratory testing services at our Royal Columbian Hospital site. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including routine and specialized tests, to ensure accurate and timely results.
• Collect and process specimens from patients, ensuring proper handling and storage to maintain quality and integrity.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient use of resources.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
Requirements
• Graduate of a recognized Medical Laboratory Technology program, with a minimum of one year of recent experience in a laboratory setting.
• Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems and software, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
