Medical Laboratory Technologist II Position in Multi Functional Lab Core Lab

Provincial Laboratory Medicine Services is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team in a Multi Functional Lab Core Lab setting at Royal Columbian Hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Perform additional procedures and routine procedures in various laboratory sections as required, following established departmental procedures.
- Collect specimens from inpatients and outpatients as needed.
- Perform equipment maintenance and report malfunctions to the Section Head.
- Complete clerical and written tasks associated with procedures and compile statistics as required.
- Ensure quality control standards are met and report problems to the Section Head.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
- Assist with new staff orientation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications include a graduate degree from a recognized school of Medical Technology, plus a minimum of one year's recent experience. Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) certification is also required.
