Job Summary:

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist I, you will play a vital role in the Core Laboratory, working collaboratively with a team of experts to provide high-quality laboratory testing services. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process laboratory samples, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Perform laboratory tests and analyze results, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to quality control and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry advancements.

Requirements:

  • Certification with the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)
  • One year recent related experience in the designated discipline within the last six years, and/or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Physical ability to perform job requirements, including standing, walking, and lifting
