Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations
    • Manage the restaurant's daily operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and cash handling.
    • Ensure that all food safety and quality standards are met.
    • Monitor and control costs, including labor, inventory, and supplies.
  • Human Resources
    • Recruit, train, and develop hourly staff, including supervisory positions.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
    • Ensure that all staff are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare and manage the restaurant's budget, including forecasting and financial reporting.
    • Monitor and control cash handling, including deposits and reconciliations.
    • Ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service, including prompt and friendly service.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
    • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction through regular feedback and surveys.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a restaurant supervisory role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven leadership experience.
  • Expertise in all restaurant positions.
  • Complete knowledge of the operating system and company policies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of operating standards and regulations.
  • High interest in developing others and improving processes.
  • Ability to do accounting and manage administrative aspects of the operation.

Preferred Skills

  • Acceptable oral and written communication skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to lead meetings and provide presentations.

Physical Demands

  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Some heavy lifting.
