Healthcare Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Administrative Assistant to join our Inpatient Palliative Unit at Woodstock Hospital. This role is responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to the healthcare team, ensuring seamless patient care and operational efficiency.
About the Role:The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support to the healthcare team, including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence
- Ensuring accurate and timely data entry and record-keeping
- Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A diploma or equivalent in a related field, such as business administration or healthcare
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to apply it in practice
