Administrative Coordinator for Indigenous Education Initiatives

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as an Administrative Coordinator for Indigenous Education Initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to support the work of the Indigenous Education Network (IEN) and contribute to the development and sustainability of Indigenous education initiatives at the University of Toronto.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to Indigenous projects and initiatives at OISE, including coordinating schedules, activities, and materials.
- Assist in planning and executing events and activities for the IEN, including producing and distributing invitations and promotional materials.
- Support the Indigenous Education Liaison in their duties, including attending meetings and providing administrative support as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Indigenous communities and organizations.
- Provide routine communication and correspondence, including emails and social media updates, to increase the profile of the IEN and outreach to Indigenous communities and stakeholders.
- College diploma or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum two years related experience, including experience in and with Indigenous communities.
- Strong knowledge of diverse Indigenous cultures in Canada and demonstrated experience in carrying out relational and trauma-informed approaches to working with Indigenous people and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with competing deadlines.
- High level of proficiency with standard office software and online applications.
