We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team at A & W Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires a strong culinary background, excellent leadership skills, and attention to detail. You will oversee all aspects of food preparation, including menu planning, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient workflow, effective teamwork, and adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize resource allocation and minimize waste.
- Manage kitchen operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, with additional certifications in food safety and handling highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Basic security clearance and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
