Job Title: Technical Project Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to join our team at EightSix Network. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end project request intake process for IT infrastructure project requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop IT infrastructure project proposals, working with Solution Architects to capture project requirements and dependencies from clients and third-party suppliers.
  • Implement IT infrastructure components, including data, voice, and wireless networks, as well as cabling for new facilities and renovations to existing facilities.
  • Provide project management using approved project management processes, tools, and techniques.
  • Ensure that necessary project life cycle processes are completed satisfactorily.
  • Track and manage project scope, including budgets, issues, and resolution and correction of problems.
  • Report project progress status reports and presentations on an ongoing basis, and at scheduled points in the life cycle to the Sponsor and to Senior Management Committees.
  • Prepare plans, charts, tables, and diagrams for presentations to various stakeholder groups.
  • Develop quality plans and training programs and manage quality assurance by establishing and maintaining Quality Plan and Process Control Plans.
  • Identify, assess, and continually manage risk, issues, and change.
  • Ensure project close-out and wrap-up activities are performed and documented according to defined project standards and filed and/or stored as agreed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working in IT infrastructure project delivery.
  • Experience with servers, storage, data networks, IP telephony (VoIP/PBX), wireless networks, and workstation/output device installs and moves.
  • Experience implementing IT infrastructure components for construction projects (new builds and renovations).
  • Experience on large complex multi-faceted projects.
  • Collaborator/team player experienced working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Seasoned intuitiveness about personal and team productivity.
  • Ability to turnaround work in quick order and relatively good quality (minimal avoidable rework).
  • Work effectively under time pressure.
  • Prepared to take initiative.
  • Prepared to make long-term commitment.
  • Flexibility to be re-assigned in response to shifting priorities and needs across Capital Projects.
  • Comfortable working with a variety of technology partners.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive hourly rate range of $80-$, with the final rate based on consultant experience and fit for the role.
