Job Overview

The Health Sciences Centre is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a General Duty position. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent nursing services, including administration of prescribed medical treatments.
  • Lead the healthcare team and facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the Health Sciences Centre.

Requirements

  • Recent, related experience is an asset.
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.
  • Maintain and provide proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active participation in professional associations, such as the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba.
  • CPR Training at the Health Care Provider Level required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to function in a demanding and stressful environment.
  • Proficient with computers, software programs, and applications.
