Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, and contribute to the advancement of nursing practice.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Stream, and be registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba. You will have a minimum of 3 years of acute care experience, preferably in the Emergency Department, and 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. You will be proficient in suturing, interpreting X-ray/CT results, splinting, and casting.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced nursing care to patients, including health assessment, diagnostics, pharmacotherapeutics, and invasive and minor surgical procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  • Contribute to the advancement of nursing practice through education, research, and professional development.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner Stream.
  • Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
  • Minimum 3 years of acute care experience, preferably in the Emergency Department.
  • 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
