Job Title: Security Guard

At Paladin Security, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Guard to join our team in the Kingston Region. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the customer experience
  • Ensure compliance with standards, rules, and regulations at site
  • Perform highly visible patrols of assigned patrol areas/zones and positively engage with tenants, guests, visitors, and employees
  • Maintain strong knowledge of activities and special events and assist visitors and guests during their visit
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid, CPR, or AED support until medical professionals arrive
  • Assist with Fire & Life Safety inspections
  • Investigate incidents and occurrences
  • Draft detailed incident and occurrence reports
  • Maintain the peace, safety, and security of all patrons, and clients on the property
  • Monitor CCTV surveillance systems
  • De-escalate emergency/crisis situations
  • Assist emergency and law enforcement personnel
Requirements:
  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid/CPR - Level C certification (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol by foot and vehicle for extended periods (8-12 hours)
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong command, comprehension, and fluency in the English language, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment both indoors and outdoors as required
  • Ability to handle stress and pressure and make a sound decision under duress
