Job Title: Security Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to enhance the customer experience, ensuring compliance with standards, rules, and regulations at site, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all patrons and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing exceptional service to enhance the customer experience
  • Ensuring compliance with standards, rules, and regulations at site
  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment for all patrons and clients
  • Performing highly visible patrols of assigned patrol areas/zones (by foot) and positively engaging with tenants, guests, visitors, and employees on an ongoing basis
  • Maintaining strong knowledge of activities and special events and assisting visitors and guests during their visit
  • Responding to medical emergencies and providing first aid, CPR, or AED support until medical professionals arrive
  • Assisting with Fire & Life Safety inspections
  • Maintaining a detailed memo book and preparing incident reports on all matters dealt with using a standard report-writing program
  • Investigating incidents and occurrences
  • Drafting detailed incident and occurrence reports

Qualifications:

  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid/CPR - Level C certification (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
  • Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and patrol by foot and vehicle for extended periods (8-12 hours)
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a strong command, comprehension, and fluency in the English language, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment both indoors and outdoors as required
  • Must be able to handle stress and pressure and make a sound decision under duress
