About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Fibre Optic Installation Technician to join our team at Worldwide. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer experiences through the installation and repair of fibre optic services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install and repair fibre optic services, including internet, TV, and phone
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues impacting customer services
- Assess customer services and contract status to identify value adds
- Educate customers on exciting bundles and other Telus services
- Maintain accurate inventory information of Telus supplied equipment

Requirements:

- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Experience with low voltage, electrical, cabling twisted pair or fibre optics
- Experience working at heights
- Familiar with use of everyday hand tools
- Computer hardware and software knowledge
- Prior customer service background and strong sales abilities required
- Ability to work independently and as an interactive member of a team
- Maintain valid Class 5 BC driver's license
- Ability to perform work safely in all types of conditions – indoor and outdoor
- Acute attention to detail
- Physically capable to do the work, specifically: carrying and erect a 60lbs ladder, climbing ladders multiple times a day, pry and lift tub covers
- A positive, solutions-based attitude and customer-centric style that will allow you to deal with difficult situations with honesty, warmth, and sincerity
