**What you'll do**:

- Perform connections and the installation of Internet, cable television, Digital Cable Terminals (DCT), Digital Phone Terminal’s (DPTs) and home entertainment equipment.
- Install Switches, Routers and WIFI Access Points.
- Respond and resolve customer issues arising from the installation and operation of Shaw High-Speed Internet, Digital Phone and/or cable services.
- Contribute to the growth of all Shaw products and services through promotion and sale of our products.
- Respond to customer reported service problems involving analog, phone and digitally delivered services.
- Detect, diagnose and correct issues affecting the services of our customers in a safe and controlled manner.
- Operate and be skilled in test equipment related to the maintenance of 2-way coaxial and fiber systems including system analyzers, field strength meters and leakage monitors.
- Work with other technical staff to ensure the resolution of customer issues in an effective and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate system records and documentation for all work orders.
- Ensure vehicle, test equipment and tools are maintained in excellent condition.
- Promote a positive image of Shaw products and services while providing exceptional customer service.
- Have a basic networking background.
- Various other duties as needed.

**What you bring**:

- Experience in cable television service or post-secondary education in Telecommunications.
- Advance PC hardware and software diagnostic skills.
- A+ Certification and experience with RF cabling are considered assets.
- Knowledge of cable television and the associated technical and safety standards.
- Goal oriented and motivated with the ability to work well independently.
- Able to perform all aspects of the job including (but not limited to) Climbing a ladder of up to 40ft, working in confined space, working in inclement weather conditions, lifting up to 100lbs and the safe operation of hand tools.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and must provide a driver’s abstract annually.
- Learn and adhere to all applicable Health & Safety regulations.
- Team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- A positive, “can-do” attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity.
