About This RoleThis position supports the Non-Life Reserving team, primarily focusing on quarterly reserving processes for the North America portfolio based in Toronto.
The successful candidate will work within a global reserving team responsible for updating, booking, and reconciling quarterly reserve analysis indications for P&C Americas, encompassing the US, Canada, and Latin America.
Key Responsibilities- Support annual Deep Dive assumption-setting reviews of P&C Americas sub-portfolios.
- Prepare summary reports and management information for executive underwriting management and business unit leadership.
- Engage with underwriting, pricing, and claims teams to enhance the reserving feedback loop.
- Assist with data management of the company's world-wide reserving platform.
- Maintain accurate process documentation.
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:
- A minimum of 4 actuarial exams completed, with 'near' Associate to new Associate members of the Casualty Actuarial Society being preferred.
- 3-8 years of experience in non-life reserving or pricing in the reinsurance field or related actuarial experience.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
- High motivation, teamwork, and adaptability.
- Proficiency in IT and data management.
- In-depth knowledge of Property & Casualty lines of business.
- Able to work effectively remotely with team members across multiple time zones.
$85,000 - $115,000 per year
