International Tax Senior Manager

RSM Canada is seeking a highly skilled International Tax Senior Manager to join our rapidly expanding tax practice. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert international tax consulting and compliance services to entities with foreign investors and cross-border investments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide international tax consulting and compliance services to entities with foreign investors and cross-border investments.
  • Develop and implement solutions to clients' tax needs, utilizing your expertise in international tax law and regulations.
  • Lead our growth, seize new business opportunities, and work closely with Partners to drive business development.
  • Develop the analytical skills necessary for effective diagnosis, development, and implementation of solutions to clients' tax needs.
  • Provide mentorship, detailed reviews, and training of staff to ensure the highest level of expertise and service delivery.
  • Promote new ideas, business, and tax solutions that result in extended services to existing clients.
  • Develop an understanding of our clients' business or family structure and investments, and become a 'functional cross-border tax expert.'
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to learn the Income Tax Act, Regulations, rulings, and case law, and apply this understanding to complex cross-border tax situations.
Requirements:
  • ~8+ years public accounting experience working for a Big 4 or large national, regional, or local accounting firm.
  • ~Masters of Taxation, Law Degree, or Enrolled in CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information and the interpretation of tax laws.
  • Strong project management skillset that can be demonstrated in fast-moving, complex cross-border engagements.
