About the Role

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a skilled Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to women of all ages, from adolescence to menopause and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Treat Women's Health Issues: Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose a range of women's health issues, including gynecological problems, pregnancy complications, and other medical conditions.
  • Provide Gynecological Care: Offer routine gynecological exams, Pap smears, and other preventive care services to promote women's health and well-being.
  • Deliver Babies: Safely deliver babies and provide postpartum care to new mothers.
  • Order Diagnostic Tests: Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures as needed to inform treatment decisions.
  • Prescribe Medications: Prescribe medications and other treatments to manage women's health conditions.
  • Collaborate with Other Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in obstetrics and gynecology is an asset.
  • Certifications: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities are required.
