Program Promoter for Yellowknife Community

The Social Collective, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering community initiatives, is seeking an enthusiastic Program Promoter in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The mission of this position involves expanding the network of establishments participating in the Order an Angelot program.
About the ProgramOrder an Angelot is a pioneering initiative aimed at preventing sexual and gender-based violence in bars and festive spaces. This program, offered free of charge to participating establishments across Yellowknife, empowers patrons to signal for help by ordering a 'fake' cocktail called an Angelot. As a contributor, you will play a vital role in promoting the program within local bars and establishments, facilitating effective training sessions for bar staff, and ensuring they are equipped to respond to situations involving sexual violence.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular follow-ups with interested establishments and compile reports after each shift.
- Provide assistance to the team during in-person training at partnered bars.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required for this role.
- Sensitivity to and knowledge of social issues impacting youth are essential qualifications.
- Previous experience in the bar industry is considered an asset.
This is a paid hourly position with a rate of $40 per hour. Additionally, The Social Collective offers flexible working hours, supporting a tailored approach that makes the recruitment process accessible to everyone.
