Senior Financial Operations Manager

Based in Yellowknife, NT, Avens - A Community for Seniors is seeking a skilled financial professional to work closely with our President and Chief Executive Officer. This key position will ensure the organization's future success by managing cash flow and forecasting to maintain fiscal responsibility.
Key Responsibilities- Implement a robust system for contract management and financial reporting to enhance efficiency and transparency in our financial operations
- Effectively manage all accounting practices, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of databases and relevant software (Microsoft Office, Accounting Systems, and Cloud-based technologies)
- 3 years of experience in accounting; experience in housing, working with seniors, or in a long-term care environment is preferred
- A competitive salary of $80,000 per year, reflecting the cost of living in Yellowknife

- Flexible language requirement: French not required
- A day shift schedule from Monday to Friday
