Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Public Safety Operations Manager to lead operations as legislated by City By-laws, Policies, and select Government Statutes and Acts. The successful candidate will support the Director in developing efficient and effective public safety goals through the use and deployment of personnel, equipment, and other resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administering the enforcement program, including research, development, and evaluation of policies and programs
  • Managing operational and capital budgets related to enforcement and public safety
  • Fostering a culture of accountability and excellence among staff in accordance with City policies and collective agreements
  • Recruiting, evaluating, managing, and mentoring staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A university degree in law, public safety, or a related field
  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in law, public safety, or a related field
  • A minimum of 4 years' progressive experience supervising or managing staff
