The Alberta Federation of REAs Ltd. is an organization dedicated to providing support, development, programs, services, leadership, lobbying and communication expertise to assist member Rural Electrification Associations in Alberta, Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the day-to-day operation of AFREA, including operations, finance, health, safety, and environmental (HSE), human resources, and governance policy.
  2. Communicate with member and non-member REAs, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
  3. Act as a resource for the Board of Directors.
  4. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve AFREA goals and objectives.
  5. Monitor industry trends to identify potential risks and opportunities for member REAs.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. Experience and knowledge of the electrical industry (distribution, transmission & generation) including trends, codes, regulations, and best practices.
  2. Understanding of relevant government initiatives, rural electrical distribution systems, and cooperatives.
  3. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to work well with others.
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, ranging from $100,000.00 per year.
