About the Role

This full-time position offers an exceptional opportunity for professionals with a passion for land use planning and management to work in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing clients' planned forest harvest areas, identifying necessary land use agreements, and working within our land management system to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze information sources, such as harvest plan maps and spatial data, to confirm expected land use agreements
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to internal processes and systems, and collaborate with software developers to implement solutions
  • Review requirements for requesting agreements and assemble request packages to disposition owners
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Post-secondary education in forestry, environmental science, geography, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in natural resource operations/planning and/or land use management/administration
  • Working experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and associated files
