Job Title: Specialized Caregiver

Axis Family Resources Ltd. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Specialized Caregiver to join our team. As a Specialized Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals living in our Specialized Supportive Housing under the care of MCFD.

About the Role:

This is a live-in caregiver position that follows a 3-day on, 3-day off shift model. You will be responsible for building and maintaining healthy relationships with the individuals we serve, promoting a positive and healthy environment that supports their educational, social, and recreational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide trauma-informed care and support to individuals with complex needs
  • Develop and implement daily life skills development plans
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure comprehensive support
  • Participate in in-depth training and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
  • Certificate or diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or related discipline
  • 2-4 years of experience in social services
  • Related experience in working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges
  • Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver's license
  • Knowledge of complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD, or other neurobiological conditions
